This homemade costume for boys entered our 2016 Halloween Costume Contest.

A word from Evan, the 'Grande Frappuccino and Short Puppuccino' costume creator:

Evan who is 10 years old is dressed as a Starbucks Grande Frappuccino. His 3 year old Goldendoodle pup is dressed as a Starbucks Short Puppuccino.
Evan loves getting Frappuccino drinks from Starbucks. His Goldendoodle pup loves getting Puppuccino drinks (a cup filled with whipped cream) from Starbucks.

Evan thought it would be a great idea if he and his pup went out as their favourite Starbuck's drinks for Halloween!

Making Evans Frappuccino costume -
1. A sheet of bendable plastic was formed to the shape of a coffee cup. Packing tape was used to hold the cup shape together.
2. A three inch piece of bendable plastic was cut and glued around the top of the cup to create the cup's lip.
3. A piece of foam core was glued to the top of the cup.
4. A hole was cut on each side of the cup for arms.
5. A hole was cut on the top of the cup through the foam core for the head.
6. A hole was cut on the top of the cup through the foam core for the straw.
7. White felt was folded into pleates then stiffen using fabric stiffener. The felt was glued to the top of the cup onto the foam core using hot glue. The felt is the whipped cream in the Frappuccino.
8. A paper tube roll was used as the straw. Green vinyl was glued onto the straw to recreate the colour of a Starbucks straw.
9. A Starbuck's logo was printed and glued onto the front of the cup.
10. Starbuck's logos were printed and glued onto the back of the cup.
11. Using a thick black permanent marker Evan ticked off the appropriate custom drink boxes on the back of the cup. In the real world when getting a drink at Starbuck's the particulars of the drink are ticked off on the back of the cup by hand using a marker.
12. Using a think black permanent marker Evan wrote his name on the back of the cup. In the real world when a getting a drink at Starbucks your name is often handwritten onto your cup.

Making the Goldendoole's Puppuccino costume -
1. A piece of bendable plastic was formed into a cylinder
2. Velcro was used to hold the plastic cyclinder together.
3. A Starbucks logo was printed and glued onto the cylinder.
4. An actual Starbucks Grande Coffee Cup lid was used as the hat. A hole was punched on each side of the lid and a piece of stretchy elastic was put through to create a strap to hold the hat onto the dog's head.

We had an awesome time being a Grande Frappuccino and a Short Puppuccino for Halloween!
