This homemade costume for babies entered our 2013 Halloween Costume Contest,
A word from Kelly, the 'Baby Centaur' costume creator:
This is my 2 year old son Halloween Costume! His Father came up with the idea and I went for the challenge! To make I found a large stuffed horse animal pattern I made every part except the head. I stuffed everything as full as I could to it would stand up (don't stuff the front legs that's for your kids legs) next i grab some faux leather and attached waist band and suspenders used the rest of the remants to make a head band and armbands. For the back feet add some castor wheels to help motate around. Just add a shield and sword to complete the look! (dollar store) You could also find a large stuffed horse at Good Will but I had no such luck :( But I believe things turned out for the best!
