A Fortune Teller and her Crystal Ball Costume

For Halloween I dressed up as a fortune teller and my boyfriend is a crystal ball. I came up with the idea of being a fortune teller thanks to many makeup inspirations I saw online.

My boyfriend and I wanted to try to do a couples costume so it was his idea to be the crystal ball. For his costume i tapped together a few sheets of cardboard. I then cut a whole in the middle for his head. I purchased some aluminum pie plates for the base of the crystal ball. I cut them all and spray painted them gold. Next I glue gunned a piece of fancy fabric to the top of the cardboard. Cut a whole in the middle for the head and then glued the pie plates to this. I also glued down some tarot cards, a fake spider, skull head..etc at the corners. Lastly we glue glunned the fish bowl to a few of the pie plates (ones that are not glued to the cardboard table) so it would secure the bowl better. For my costume i purchased most of the clothes and accessories online. Also did my own makeup! The only part of my costume that I had to glue together was a gem to my hat. Cost for the crystal ball was roughly $70 and the cost for the fortune teller was roughly $75
