Cruella de Vil Costume

Our sweet 8 month old daughter Ella Louise is wearing the costume. The idea came from one of our best friends early this year when we were talking about costume ideas. She said her name is Ella... why not make her a mini Cru"ELLA" de Vil. That idea stuck and I have been searching ideas for months.

Her outfit is a modge-podge of pieces from different places:

Wig: an adult Mrs. Spots wig from Amazon for $11.95. I trimmed it to take off some weight and used a small pumpkin with the same circumference as my daughter's head to trim the wig itself. I hot-glued an elastic baby headband into the inside and voila! We have a wig that fits a small baby and she actually left it on!

Spotted cape: actually a Dalmatian costume off of Amazon for $14.95 that came with a hooded cape and Dalmatian paw boots.

Red boa: after looking online for a feather boa that wouldn't swallow my baby whole... I actually found this red, fuzzy Christmas banner holder craft piece at Hobby Lobby for $2.95. It was the perfect size!

Dalmatian plush: bought at the Disney store on sale for $8.99!

I actually had the rest! Her shirt is a black turtleneck from Children's Place that I got at a yard sale for $1. The black tutu was ordered off of Zulily for $9.99. I bought her Sew Sassy ruffled red pants online from a mom for $5. Finally, her black shoes I bought at a yard sale for $1.

All in all, we were in love with this as our little girl's 1st costume! We dressed up with her as Roger and Anita Radcliffe, the Dalmatian owners. The reactions received online and while trick-or-treating were priceless! We hope you enjoy this mini Cru"ELLA" as much as we did!!!
