Little Bo Peep and Sheep Costume

This is a picture of me with my two therapy dogs, Molly and Lulu, who work with me everyday at Bayside Health &Rehab. Having worked with elders for 19 years, I always like to wear something that they will recognize, which means I always have to make something. And since adding the dogs to my "staff," they have to look good too. I made my dress from scratch. The pantaloons were made from a pair of old white leggings to which I added a couple rows of lace. The only things not home-made were my hat and my shoes, which I had in the closet. (I made other pieces to go with the costume, but the apron and corset-vest just made me look even wider than I already am. So I ditched 'em.). The costumes for the dogs were made from two white tank tops from a thrift store, which Imaltered a bit and embellished with legs from some white cotton fabric, to which I added little black cuffs. Some time spent hot gluing cotton balls, and a little bow for each in their signature colors, topped of the look. The residents, staff, and all our visitors and trick-or-treaters loved seeing "their girls" in costume.
