Claw Machine Costume

My mom and I were surfing the web for a costume. We stumbled upon these things called "box costumes" at first we didn't know what they were but when we clicked on the link we realized they were things like barbie doll costumes And vending machines. Most of the costumes had little kids wearing them so they didn't require a very big box or a lot of preperation. My mom had previously challenged me to use items that I didn't have to buy in order to make my halloween costume since I am "getting older now" (lol). I came up with the idea to make a claw machine costume. I looked up claw machines and found where a few people had made a claw machine costume before (not that many). I decided that even though it was a Tuesday afternoon and Halloween was on Friday, we had enough time to make it. My mom and I spent every free minute of the next two days working on my costume. We left it at school during the day (mom works there...) and worked on it during my studyhall, break and lunch.We transported it home via my mom's friends car. Thursday night at 11:00 pm it was finally done. We brought it to school on Halloween in the bed of my dad's truck and as soon as I put it on a mom saw me and her jaw dropped in amazement. Throughout the day I got multiple comments on "how cool" my costume was and I constantly got asked the questions "did you make that yourself?" And "how long did that take?" To which I answered "my mom and I made it. It took us 2 days." I won most original in a small costume contest and was very happy with the outcome.
