This homemade costume for boys entered our 2012 Halloween Costume Contest.

A word from Renee, the 'Whac-a-Me' costume creator:

Hudson wanted to be a Super Hero but was really happy when I made this for him. Except when all the kids wanted to actually play the game and whack his head!!!
It was made from a box and I glued felt all over it. Made copies of his picture and put them on foam board. The siren on the top is a bike light that works on battery.

Hi, I also loved this costume I have made over 19 costumes this crazy and more for my kids This one is only a box covered in felt. I put straps on the inside to hold it in place but mostly it balanced on his shoulders. Now remember it's not easy to get around in this type of costume. In Orlando we have costume contests all over and I take my kids and we WIN! But for Halloween trick or treating I let them be whatever they want (something easy to get around in) Its been a family tradition. My oldest son is now 23 my daughter 16 and my last son 12! This is his final year doing contests and I am currently working on a Rocket Man costume for him. He walks stilts so it's looking good! Really there is no way to write directions just keep looking at the picture and email me back if you get stuck. Happy Halloween!

As for details and directions as you can see from the comments above, I never wrote anything down but for years i have just had people call me and ask questions. I can verbally walk you through it. It starts with just a box! LOL You can see I have made tons of big costumes through the years and last year I won the Kelly Rippa Ryan Seacrest Halloween Costume contest and was on TV. So That was exciting! Call me 407-493-9773
