A word from Jolynn, the 'The Predator' costume creator:

My son,Oktavian is wearing his Halloween costume as,"The Predator" in this picture. Both my son & I were web surfing & he seen a couple photos of The Predator & right then & there my son decided that's who wanted to be for Halloween. My husband & I made his entire costume with things we had in our home.....foam,glue,cardboard,material,acrylic paint, plastic, spray paint, paper machay, markers, yarn, cottonballs. The costume took a total of 50+hrs & we started late August & finished the 2nd week of October. I sewed the bodysuit together & all armor was foam that went through a few steps before completion, first we baked the knee pads & all other armor was baked at 400degrees for 3 min each then formed as soon as they were taken out of the oven. Every piece of armor was first spray painted then hand painted with acrylic paint. we formed the helmet with a cardboard base & then applied foam & even more cardboard then finished with about 4 layers of masking tape, spray paint(2 types). The gloves were Skellington gloves that I painted over with about 6 different acrylic paint. I cut a pack of legging a glided them over the suit. For the abs I uses cotton balls that I stretched & dipped in paper machay & glued on after dry. Every peice was velcroed onto the suit. The blaster was made strictly from cardboard & foam with acrylic paint for detail. The dreads on the mask were made from rolled foam & duck taped was wrapped around then sprayed with paint & hot glued ontop the mask. Win or lose I deffinetly know this costume will be one to remember:) & just remember this is my 3 year old son idea:)
