A word from Taylor, the 'Suri Cruise' costume creator:

Hi there!

I had so much fun making this costume and people really got a kick out of it... thought I would share.

How I made it:

I actually have had this TOM CRUISE cut out in my room since I was a teenager! I got it when JERRY MAGUIRE came out... I was 13. Living in LA, I thought it would be fun to make a costume from all the celebrity gossip around us... I used my glue gun to attach yard sticks to the back and bent his legs up so they would press against my back and not drag on the floor. I found green ribbon that matched my leotard and used that to tie Tom to my back (this part was the trickiest). Then I had this silly leopard vest (Xmas gift from my grandmother of course), which I threw over to hide the ribbon (the ribbon could come through the arm holes discretely and tied around my stomach)...! Don't know if this is making any sense! :) it definitely took me a long time to figure out how to attach him.

I added a speech bubble with construction paper, a chopstick to reinforce it on the back and found sticker letters from MICHAEL'S.... He says, "What? You're divorcing me?", as if he was talking to Katie! I thought this would help people get it faster...

Add a Suri tutu, tights and glitter shoes...

I had fun adding children's jewelry and a pink, sparkly headband and purse. Plus a big fluffy puppy doll that was fun to carry. I thought that was very Suri...

I have more pictures around that I could send if you need more! I'm sending you what I have at this moment!

Thanks for your consideration, it made a splash here! Though it was difficult to fit through door frames and low ceiling areas... it was worth it! :)

All the best,
Taylor
