This homemade costume for girls entered our 2012 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Amanda, the 'Pirate Beauty' costume creator:
This is my 7 year old daughter Kinley.
We made her costume as a project together.
Her top is white eye let material and a small piece or red and white striped. Easy to sew, no pattern needed.
The bottom is a tutu made with about 10-12 yards of tulle. We used red, black and silver.
Her eye patch is also handmade with felt and elastic.
We made her treasure chest out of an old jewelery box, we spray painted some floral rocks and glued them along with some gold beads into the box.
