Mary Poppins Costume

We decided to dress up like Mary Poppins and Burt from the movie "Mary Poppins". Our costumes were based on the "Jolly Holiday" scene. For the Mary Poppins dress, I went to Goodwill and purchased an old wedding dress. I shortened the arms and skirt length and added various amounts of ribbon to it. I purchased a plan red corset from goodwill as well and added the boning and lace to it, then sowed that onto the dress. I decorated a white Easter hat with tool and flowers from Walmart. I purchased the wig and umbrella from ebay.

Burt's costume is a combination of items found on ebay, excluding the jacket which was purchased at goodwill and covered with decorative tape to make the colored lines found in the movie.
