This homemade costume for groups entered our 2012 Halloween Costume Contest.

A word from Stephanie, the 'Duct Tape Crayola Crayons' costume creator:

In the picture are some of my roommates and friends from school. We wanted to do something fun and different for our costumes and wanted to go as a group. I suggested crayons. We spent hours looking for fabric and swearing machines and then I decided on DUCT TAPE! Each dress is made out of about 3 rolls of duct tape ($3.50 each) and some pre-wrap (approx $2 a roll). We made what looked like harnesses around our top and then pre-wrap for the inside of the skirt! We had so much fun going out that night and got so many compliments.

Yes, we had to cut the dresses off to take them off (or rip them, but it depended on how many layers of duct tape you used).

I actually didn't wear anything under mine (I'm in the green) besides a bra and underwear. Some girls used tight dresses as the back of their duct tape, but mine is made with the top being two layers of duct tape, sticky sides in, and then my bottom is a sheet of duct tape with prewrap on the sticky side. It absorbs much more moisture.

How did you pee though? Would u have to pull the dress up. My friends and I want to do this be we arent sure how to use the restroom when wearing these

this looks like so much fun? did you have to make the costumes on halloween? and what exactly is the "pre wrap"? please reply! I would like to do this this year! also, as Shayla said how do you pee?

To pee, umm, I honestly don't remember. I think, since mine had a slit in the side, i was able to just hike it up. Also, pre-wrap is that stuff you see girls wearing in their hair during sports. It can be different colors. You can get it in any walmart, target, even claires! I made my costume the night before in two pieces, the top part and then the skirt. I cut the top off and then taped them all together on halloween. However, we made all the others that night.
