This homemade costume for kids entered our 2012 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Vickie, the 'Cutest Caterpillar' costume creator:
My children from left to right are Joshua (12), Annie (11), Max (7) and Noah (6). They found the pattern for this costume in a Better Homes and Gardens craft book called "501 Fun-to-Make Family Family Crafts." I did have to make a few modifications to the pattern because of their height differences. Altogether the materials cost just under $20. The felt for the body and spots, and the buttons for decoration on the front cost $13 at a local discount fabric store and I bought the visors at Michaels and the gloves at Walmart.
