Blue's Clues Costume

I am dressed as Blue, and my boyfriend...Frank Rubio is dressed as Steve. For my costume I found a 10.00 blue dress online...went and bought royal blue material and traced my spots cut them out and used iron on adhesive to apply them to my dress. For my ears I drew the floppy ear shape on foam board paper and covered them with fleece blue material then ironed on more spots and hot glue gunned and stitched each ear to a headband (3.00) from fabric store. Dress + spots+ ears + materials= about $50.00. For my boyfriend we found his green striped shirt on summer clearance rack at Old Navy for 10.00 and ordered his handy dandy notebook on eBay for 6.00!
