DIY Alien Abduction Costume

My son, Mason was dressed as an Alien Abduction this year. We found the idea on the Internet just searching for original costume ideas. We used styrofoam and a school backpack to create an alien that looks like he is carrying Mason. I bought the alien mask, cape and hands from a Halloween store. We cut a hole in the abdomen area of the cape for Mason's upper body to be exposed. We used pantyhose stuffed with poly fill for the alien's arms and "Mason's legs". We ended up doing a pretty good job pulling off the illusion. He got several stares from the other kids who were trying to figure out who was carrying him! Even he adults at the towns Boo Ha Ha Parade weren't quite sure what was going on! This has been one of our funniest costumes yet! We have already been brainstorming for next year!!!
