This homemade costume for couples entered our 2013 Halloween Costume Contest.

A word from Chanele, the 'Colonel Sanders and his Bucket of Chicken' costume creator:

We love to get creative for our annual Halloween parties and have so much fun making them. My husband was Colonel Sander's and he wore all white and we purchased a red apron, and the white mustache/hair we bought at the Halloween store. I made a sign saying, "Finger-Licking-Good" that I glued onto the red apron. His Colnial Sander's costume was cheap because we used clothing that he already had. We only purchased the white hair, mustache, and apron and spent under $15.00

My Bucket-of-Chicken costume was a old red bucket for drinks (usually used for parties to keep canned beverages cold with ice). We cut the rope handles off and I printed the "KFC" logos off of the Internet. My husband cut the bottom of the bucket out so that I could put my body through it. I used tissue paper and hot glued it around the top. I also used ribbon to make suspenders to keep the bucket up around my body. I used white duct tape to make the stripes on the tub. I wore white leggings, white shirt, and black boots to accent the colors. It was very comfortable and very fun! We had all of the supplies for the Bucket-of-Chicken so we didn't spend any money making it. If you had to buy any materials you should be able to do this under $20.00.

What size bucket did you use 10 gallon or 12 gallon?

Not sure what size the bucket is? It is one I purchased for party drinks-tub. Smart and Final carry them and most party stores. Not sure the size. It holds lots of canned beverages with ice for BBQ's and outside entertaining.
