A word from Alexandra, the 'Colonel Mustard & Mrs. Peacock' costume creator:

These are my twins, and they participate in a float in August, and usually use the costumes for Halloween that year. This year we did Clue. Luckily My MIL and her mother are amazing seamstresses and made the costumes. My son is wearing a found safari hat from the dollar store $1.00 which we spray painted and attached ribbon to. His military coat was made from scrap fabric and leftover patches from madrigal costumes. I made his Houlihan mustache from paper and cotton batting, and his monocle was purchased off ebay for $2.00. My daughter is wearing a simple A line dress and hat also made from leftover fabric. We purchased a blue feather boa for $5.00 and attached peacock feathers $4.00. We also glued a few rhinestone buttons and gems to her hat which we also had laying around.
The twins decided they both killed Dr. Black. Mrs. Peacock lured him into the Conservatory and Colonel Mustard bashed him over the head with a Candlestick. So now you finally know who done it!

Oh my goodness! They are utterly adorable, the costumes are creative, inexpensive & simple yet perfectly executed, and if I didn't know who they were supposed to be I would recognize them anyway! Great costumes!
