A word from James, the 'Clown' costume creator:

My son is my 3yr old Pennywise lover but we needed something just a little different so we decided to do our own little baby clown... I bought 2 types of fabric from Walmart.. 2 yards of each color... I also bought a bold cap piece and a black wig... I also bought some water base face paint..and last I used the elastic bands off of a dusk mack for painting i had laying around... It total I spent about $25 dollars... First i got a sleeper that i already had at home... Then i sewed the two pieces of fabric together...I then laid my sleeper on the fabric with the center being where I so the two pieces of fabric together.. then I got a piece of chalk traced the sleeper on the fabric then removed the sleeper... I then drew more lines to make bigger hips andthen cut out the shape that I desired for the costume and then repeat it so I had two pieces and then I turn then inside out and sew them together... Outfit is done... Then I start his wig I get the bald cap wig and hot glue gun and scissors... I cut about 3in long hair off the wig... I cut the cap to fit my sons head as I could only find it in a adult size... And glue it together where I cut it... Next u put it over a bowl I already had so it holds shape... Then I began by putting glue in sections in applying the cut hair to each section until it is complete leaving a hole at the top of the capthat has no hair... so that it can be bald then I take my water based paint and paint the top of the cap that has no hair white... Next I cut strips of left over fabric 4 small about 2 in wide and a foot long... and one bigger 4in wide and foot long... I then get the for elastic straps off of my dust mask... Then I stretched them out and began to sew my strips of fabric to them by folding one end slightly beneath the elastic band then bringing the bottom to rest right over that... I do this with the larger on as well and u will have the cuffs for the neck feet and hands...I then sew then to the costume.. I add some lil balls to the center of costume.. Paint the his face and he has transformed to a creepy lil clown...
