This homemade costume for kids entered our 2017 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Alex, the 'Cinderella and Gus Gus' costume creator:
My daughter is a princess-aholic. She's been a different princess for 3 years straight, and she's only 4! So when she wanted to be Cinderella, I couldn't resist making her 2 year old sister into Gus Gus (while she still has some baby fat)! I made the ears and hat out of felt, hot glue and a headband. To make it stick up the way we needed, I used pipe cleaners and chalk in the tip of the hat, for a weight!
