This homemade costume for babies entered our 2018 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Samantha, the 'Chicken' costume creator:
Our three year old loves to watch the chickens on her uncles farm. She always comments on how fluffy they are and how they shake their tail feathers. SO, when she asked to be a chicken this year, I knew I had to DIY this myself!
This costume cost about $40 to make.
The body is about 4 featherless boas (stays more fluffy and sheds less), lots of hot glue and whip stitches to the side and arms of the body.Complete with a tail feathers on the back.
Paired with yellow tights for the legs and rubber gloves for the feet. It was almost complete. I added pom poms to the top of the head to create a floppy comb.
She enjoyed walking around with a fluffy body and shaking her tail feather for candy!
It sure was a winner this year!
