Spongebob Costume

My son Nick. We used a square box to cover his head & body. We cut the box horizontally and pulled closer together with duct tape. We then covered the box with car sponges (10 sponges cut horizontally into 5ths). Using excess sponge pieces for filler. We cut holes out for eyes. Used white construction paper, blue marker & black small netting for eyes (to see). We glued brown & red felt for shorts & tie (black marker for belt). Tube socks with red & blue marker for lines. White long sleeve shirt & brown shorts. We did fasten a childs plastic army hat inside. This helped keep box on my sons head & steady. This was a fun craft to make. Now my son has the Spongebob in his room for a decoration.
