Curious George and the Man in the Yellow Hat Couple Costume

We both loved Curious George as a child and this seemed like a perfect "couple costume"! Of course my dog, Casanova, had to be included. The banana costume was purchased, but my Curious George costume and the Man in the Yellow Hat was DIY. I visited a lot of thrift stores to find the perfect pieces and then used yellow tape to cut out the letters to make my own shirt. The ears were made with brown furry cord and felt. The Hat was an old witches hat that I shaped and wrapped in yellow duct tape.

It was a blast to make and my boyfriend thought I was nuts until we put on the final costume! We were pretty excited about it and was a huge hit!
