Carrying Own Head Costume

My 9 year old granddaughter wanted to look like she was carrying a head after it was chopped off. We used half of a mannequin, which she painted silver. I used red acrylic paint and a blow dryer for the "blood" I held the paint brush so the paint would drip. The blow dryer would stop it from going further. Creating a coagulated looking blood drop. I also painted neck bones at the top . I placed the mannequin in a draw string backpack. I cut the dress at the waist , just big enough for her head, and sewed elastic to the edge of the cut. For the arms and hands. I stuffed long white gloves and sewed to inside of the sleeve. The hands were sewn together to look like they were holding something . Makeup completed the look. She wore it to a haunted house. There were other children that refused to get on an elevator with her or even get close to her . We could hear a man saying "its just a little girl" The employees continuously gave her compliments a couple even asked her if she wanted a job working there. Strangers asked if they could take pictures of her. She loved every second of it. Even scaring other kids. ( Shes not mean. Actually very sweet) The pictures I submitted were taken at the haunted house.
