This homemade costume for families entered our 2016 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Krystal, the 'CandyLand' costume creator:
King Kandy: foam and glass beads for the front of the shirt, ping pong balls painted for the sleeves, pipe insulation with duct tape for shoulders and waist, hand made skirt, bed sheets as the cape, foam insulation and Christmas ornaments for the staff and hat.
Queen Frostine: reused blue prom dress, added white felt to skirt and top, hand made crown from cardboard, Christmas decoration for staff
Miss Mint: cut socks for arm bands, purchased skirt, hand made hat from foam
Princess Lolly: purchased dress, added lollipops made from felt all around bottom, hand made crown from cardboard with added lollipops
Lord Licorice: used clothing we already had, added pipe cleaners to hat to act as licorice
Grandma Nut: used costume from a previous year, basket full of peanuts
