Buzz Lightyear Costume

I wanted to be buzz lightyear for halloween, but I wanted to put forth my own twist to the costume and make it more girly!

So instead of pants, I decided to make a lime green tutu! This was a simply one that just tied onto a piece of ribbon and then was tied on. I wore a pair of green shorts that said "to infinity and beyond on them!"

I bought a long sleeve white shirt with a hood for the top. I simply painted on the different strips and buttons on buzz's uniform. I then painted the hood purple to look like the helmet he wears.
To create the black "ribbed" area I just layered on a black tanktop on top of the white shirt.
Then I bought A lime green sports bra and painted the buttons and logos on it. This was the final layer to the top outfit.

The winds were made out of foam board. I simply painted it first and then covered it in glitter!!! I made the wings detachable by adhering them to the "jet-pack" with Velcro, so I could change them from opened to closed. Then I attached ribbon to the back boards and wore out!

For the shoes I took an old pair of heels and painted them lime green. Then I found some silver christmas ornaments that I hot glued on for a fun outerspace shoe!

The costume was a huge hit and really fun to wear!
