A word from Amy, the 'Bride of Frankenstein' costume creator:

My costume is The Bride of Frankenstein. I always thought she was beautiful and creepy(Which I love!)I created the gown from white sheets, and sheer drapes I purchased at Goodwill. I sewed a basic sack with arm holes for a dress, and then cut small strips in a long sleeve cotton shirt to look like bandages down my arms(cutting a small hole to slip over my thumb kept the sleeves in place). I then took sheer curtains and shredded them and attached them in pieces to make the dress look my Bride of Frankenstein and less like a white sack! I did the make up myself. I used white, red and brown eye pencil to create the stitching. Placing the colors in a certain way created the 3D effect. I bought an Afro wig from the costume store and pinned it, and sprayed it with white hair color for the hair.

This costume is awesome. How do I replicate it?

Great job! Did you cut off the sleeves from a white shirt, and then sewed them on the white sack dress you made? For the neckline on the dress, it looks like you cut a small hole and then threaded a long strip from the sheer drapes and tied a knot, giving you a nice draped effect at the bust? Is that correct?
