Bonnie and Clyde Couple Costume

My husband John & I went as Bonnie & Clyde to a Halloween party. I grabbed a yellow cotton shirt and black pencil skirt in my closet. We bought John's suit from a thrift shop for 10$! I used an old black collard shirt to make the vest since we could not find one for cheap. It was really easy to make. I just had to cut out a "v" shape and hot glue the frailed ends to give it a "vesty" look. I only glued down the part that was visible, that also meant my husband could not take off the jacket, but it was a chilly night so it worked out. The guns came from the dollar store and I ordered the most inexpensive wig and hats off of Amazon. The total cost for both the costumes was around $25. The bags of money were old neutral colored bags we had in the garage stuffed with grocery bags. I put the dollar signs on the front with permanent markers. The bullet holes took the longest since there were so many. I cut wholes in my shirt and added the blood along with the fake skin while my shirt was on. It helped wearing the shirt in order to strategically place the bullet holes. I knew what I wanted us to be, but the internet did not have many ideas. So I created a "dead" Bonnie & Clyde based on one of the old photos from the original movie. It turned out great and we got so many compliments.
