Bjork's Swan Dress Costume

Every year, I try to use as much recycled and reused materials to make my costumes. This year, I had a big plastic bag from my IKEA mattress and wanted to find a way to repurpose it. I looked at costumes that were white and found the Bjork’s swan dress which appealed to me because of the texture. The ruffles of the dress are made of that plastic bag. Because of the heavy weight of plastic bag, I built in a belt hidden in the ruffles to hold up the dress. I had fabric scraps that I’ve saved to complete the rest of the dress. I was able to reuse everything I had.
