A word from Lisa, the 'Binders Full of Women' costume creator:

My name is Lisa Johnson, and I made up my boyfriend, Patrick McPartland, to look like Mitt Romney, and I posed as one of his "Binders Full of Women." The inspiration was from Romney's statement during the second presidential debate in October. The costume is homemade from a tri-fold piece of cardboard covered in bright yellow poster board. We taped the cardboard into the shape of a binder and cut holes out on the inside two flaps so I could slip my arms in and have my hands come out. This allowed me to be in the center of the binder and "wear" it. We made the three rings of the binder inside out of tin foil. On the outside of the binder, we taped WOMEN and pictures of Romney (printed from the home computer) and doodled many of his gaffes from the campaign, and inside we put 12 famous female names from Sarah Palin to Miss Piggy onto large poster board squares that resembled sticky notes. My costume was reminiscent of Sarah Palin's look, while Patrick's costume was a little white hair spray to resemble Romney's locks and a homemade campaign pin on his suit.
