This homemade costume for boys entered our 2012 Halloween Costume Contest.

A word from Amy, the 'Big Bad Wolf' costume creator:

This is my 3 year old son Evan wearing his Big Bad Wolf costume! He insisted on being the Big Bad Wolf so he can "huff and puff and blow your house down". I made the whole costume my self, by hand, with the exception of the pants. I used fake fur fabric for all the wolf parts. Created boots with foam claws, a tail with wire inside so it bends and moves, paws with foam claws (not pictured, 3 year olds dont like gloves), used a soft hat and covered with fur (for head), used foam for ears and claws and 2 marbles for the eyes. For the piggy bucket used a plastic pumpkin bucket and covered with pink felt. used pipe-cleaners for ears and tail. Took about a week to complete and spent about $25-$30 on material

Did you use a regular sewing machine with the fake fur and did it work okay? I'm not an experienced sewer and worried the material won't go through the machine and will break my needle.
Thanks!

No, I did it all by hand, too thick to go through sewing machine, afraid it would ruin my machine. used a lot of double sided hem tape and super glue. good luck!

Wow! This is so amazing! Can I get more details on how you did the face? A picture of the inside of the hat may be? What did you use to extend the hat?
