Costume type:  Costumes for Adults
Categories:Halloween Costumes, Cartoon Costumes

This homemade costume for adults entered our 2013 Halloween Costume Contest.

A word from Casey, the 'Bender' costume creator:

I thought of brining a Cartoon Character to life, and I chose Bender from Futurama. I designed the costume to fit my body, I started on this on September 1st and worked on it for 5-9 hours a night till Oct 25th. I put about 175 hours into this costume.
Cost on materials:
just under $70
Material used:
Maxx strength Duct Tape (at least 2 rolls)
Cardboard (4 sheets)
EVA Foam (for the feet, eyes)
Foam (for the feet, and dome on head)
Chicken Wire, Pet Screen (used on mouth)
Grey Fabric (used on the body, head, arms, pants)

Once i had the structure of the body and head, it was easy peazy from there.

The top does NOT light up but it would be a very easy thing to get it to light up. And yes the tube was used for drinking with. It was hidden inside.
