This homemade costume for girls entered our 2017 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Leslie, the 'Belle of the Ball' costume creator:
Grace is only 16 and makes custom ballgowns, dresses, and costumes. She is pictured here in her latest, "Make it Pink! Make it Blue!" gown. She was inspired by Disney's "Sleeping Beauty" movie, and Philippians 4:13. She constructed her costume from her own patterns. The gown is made up up five pieces:
The bodice, a light yellow silk under a gold organza overlay, and a yellow organza on top of that.
The main skirt, made from the same material as the bodice, with three ruffled tiers.
There is a 3 hooped hoopskirt and a 3 tulle layered petticoat.
She loves making everything costumes and dresses!
