This homemade costume for couples entered our 2014 Halloween Costume Contest.

A word from Michael, the 'Bee Keeper and his Queen Bee' costume creator:

Husband and wife. Mike as the Bee Keeper, used and pair of paint overalls from Home Depot, old straw hat, leftover mesh material and extra bees made from craft balls. Pam as the Queen Bee, hive was made out of pipe installation wrapped with strips of material and joined together with yarn. Stinger was made with scrap poster board rolled into a tube and covered with black felt and yellow ribbon and Velcro to attached to rear end of shorts. Used on old black shirt and yellow ribbon for the top and tied strips of tulle around an elastic waist band cut from an old skirt. Hot glued pieces of tulle to shoulder of shirt. Had a old bucket and painted honey in yellow and filled it with bit of honey candy. Cost under $40 and about 15 hours of time.
