A word from The, the 'Back From the Future' costume creator:

We are a family of 8 that LOVES Halloween!!! This is our 7th year doing family themed costumes. After seeing a photo on Pinterest of a futuristic family, we decided that would be our theme with our own spin. We had a blast. Most of our wardrobe was either clothes we already had or purchased at our local thrift store. Some items we purchased new online that were already a metallic sliver and worked perfectly. We got our wigs online as well as our make up. We also purchased battery operated lights that were on each costume. They added the perfect touch! They were kind of hard to see in the photos, but if you look close you can see them. The clothes that weren’t silver either got spray painted or cover with metallic duct tape. We used LOTS of duck tape and spray paint. My husband had his Barber cut his hair with lots of cold designs in it. Once we sprayed his hair, it looked amazing! My husband also made his weapons and jet pack out of old car parts. They turned out perfect. I made a jet pack for one of our sons with 2liter pop bottles, and some colored tissue paper for the flames. We used an old belt to strap it on.
It was a great touch. I made my hat out of card board and duct tape that also had battery operated lights. My daughters head pieces were made out of styrofoam balls, and stars, with dowels and tooth picks. Our oldest daughter helped me with the head pieces, and Our oldest son made his own hat out of poster board and flourish wire.
We finished our look with misting the boys’ faces with the the temporary hair color we sprayed their hair with. We had a great time and are already looking forward to next year. Families that Halloween together- stay together 😊
