Astronaut Sloth and Alien Costume

One of the reasons my boyfriend and I first got together was because we both love space more than anything. On one of our very first dates we went to a restaurant and behind him was a picture of an astronaut sloth. He's very tall and lanky and can be slow sometimes so it fit him perfectly. Thus his name in my phone was changed to My Astronaut Sloth. So of course we had to work with that for halloween. And what better for me to be then an alien.

My boyfriend is very smart and nerdy. So when he started to build his suit he of course had to research a real astronaut suit to make it as realistic as possible. He didn't quite make it as amazing as he wanted it but I still thought he was cute. We made quite a few trips to thrift stores, hardware stores, and dollar stores just to complete his costume. He put a lot of time into his even though he's currently trying to find a new job.

Mine wasn't quite as difficult. It includes a lot of sewing with not the best fabric. But in the end it got the point across and was a lot of fun to spin in.

The only things bought at costume stores for these costumes were my wig and his gloves. The rest was kinda made up as we went.
