Astrid Hofferson, How to Train Your Dragon Costume

My granddaughter's favorite cartoon character is Astrid, from How to Train Your Dragon. When she said she wanted to be her I agreed....and then found out I couldn't find an Astrid costume ANYWHERE!!! I couldnt even find a pattern to make it. I HAD TO MAKE IT, from scratch,no patterns, and lousy ideas on pinterest, etc!!! Good thing I can sew, and Im creative! Every part of her costume is homemade, including the bird skulls and shoulder armor, fur cloak, leather skirt, shirt, and faux fur boots. (The only thing premade in the entire costume is the underboots, which I painted to match!) The biggest question was "Where to get a dragon?" No problem! We have a white horse...who quickly turned green and blue with water soluable, non-toxic, easy wash kids finger paint! And there we go, Astrid and her dragon!!!
