This homemade costume for boys entered our 2013 Halloween Costume Contest.

A word from Laura, the 'Architeuthis' costume creator:

Bryce came up with the idea for his costume this summer. He has wanted to study squid from the paleo era and didn't want to buy a costume at the store. The squid costume was made out of felt from the local fabric store and the pattern was free-handed on construction paper.

Do you still have this costume- I'd love to buy it for you. I am not that talented and I have a 6 year old that desperately wants to be a squid this Halloween!

I really like the costume you've made! My son is interested in making a costume like the one you have done here. Would you be willing to share your ideas on how you made the head. Specifically how you filled it and then secured it to your childs head. If you could share your construction know how with me, I would be very appreciative!! Thanks so much!
