Alien Movie Costume

I am a special fx makeup artist.
I am a girl, I am wearing the costume.
One of the photos has my husband trying the head out, lol.
I sculpted the alien head.
We hacked away at insulation foam to get the shape.
I cast the sculpture in latex. We applied the latex to the foam shape. We then mounted the head onto a helmet.
I wore the helmet and we wrapped a piece of vinyl around my face area / painted my face black.
I airbrushed the head / all the body pieces that I made.
We used a foam pool noodle around my neck to keep the alien head from bobbing forward.
I bought digileg bent legged stilts from the UK
I actually fell off the stilts when practicing, onto my head, but I had a helmet on.
Underneath the costume I wore motocross gear and protective gear. I also wore full clothing because I am ALLERGIC TO LATEX !
Go figure right?

We had a hard time getting the head right and ran up until the last day making it. I forgot to install a water pack into the costume so we were crushing water bottles into my face area of the helmet. The costume really dehydrates you. It's also very hard to stand on the stilts.

So here it is..
