A "Twist" on The Wizard of Oz Costume

Jayda Kehl (age 7) is dorothy from the wizard of oz, who is just about to be sucked into the tornado along with all of the other characters from the show. The idea came from a combination of two costumes that we saw. I built the tornado by using a Childs play tunnel and sewing in a metal rod in the back to make it stand up. I covered it in batting and tulle. I also sewed a headband into the tornado to steady it on her head. I bought the Barbie wizard of oz characters online and sewed them each on along with little fake trees. I bought a Dorothy costume and stuffed the body and sewed it on. It’s been a really fun and unique costume to show off!
