A word from Mandy, the '747 Carrying the Space Shuttle Endeavour' costume creator:

Entering: Most Creative.

I made the costume from felt material. I modeled the 747 portion from a pottery barn kid's airplane costume. The wings were foldable so I can move my arms easilly. I made the Endeavour as a plush backpack I can carry around. The wings of the Endeavour was reinforced with cardboard to give it shape. Slapped handmade NASA logos all around. I wore a baseball hat to prop the top up to prevent the hood from sliding down. The materials of the costume itself cost about $30 and it took about 2 days to make.
