Costume Articles

Below are articles written by yours truely..for one reason or another...as the muse sat upon my shoulder and commanded me to do so. They do not ALL necessarily have to do with "costuming" (reason being, as you may agesimagine, that sometimes I need to air my head out of the ONE subject that I work on almost even in my sleep) although I did try to stay, at least, slightly to a point where I could claim that I had INTENDED to sway the story towards the "Costume" topic...but OOPS! I never quite made it there. I do not claim to be a professional writer or author or even CLOSE to either of the above. These articles are more or less "thoughts" that I put down for my own and possibly YOUR enjoyment. If you disagree with anything written here, that is your choice...you are perfectly welcome to stop reading. Please know that I do not intend to offend anyone with these articles Ü

This evening I was standing at my kitchen sink, washing dishes and mulling over "life in general". "Mulling" is something I often do when busy at a task so mesmerizing that it takes absolutely no thought what-so-ever. Let it be known that I have come up with some of my most THRILLING ideas while involved in such meditative chores as washing the dinner dishes. I am certain that this process is just about the same for most of us of a "genius" mental caliber.  Read Article »

The mention of Medieval Times brings about visions of Knights in Shining Armor, often saving a beautiful young Maiden from the flaming jaws of a great Dragon...Or possibly, a mentioning of the times brings about thoughts of beautiful Castles gleaming in the sun... while I just KNOW that in one of those tall towers dwells a Sleeping Princess..just waiting for the kiss of her true love to wake her.   Read Article »

It's not often anymore, in the busy noise of the world, that I get a quietness of mind that allows me to dwell on matters, and wonder about life in general. This morning, however, as I was standing at the kitchen sink, glancing out the window, I allowed myself one of those quiet moments to contemplate a rare vision that lay before me. Snow in the Desert.  Read Article »
